What is an Energy Body?

You are not just the sum total of body parts, organs, joints, tissues and muscles- you are and you aren’t. Your body is a field of energy measured in frequency and vibratory energy. Eastern medicine such as Traditional Chinese Medicine with its energy therapy “Acupuncture” calls these energy pathways meridians. Ayurveda with its energy therapy “Marma” calls these pathways “nadis”. In either case, these pathways are like a superhighway of roads or an inner internet system that connects through the nervous system, endocrine system, brain, and organs. This energy body (partly seen and unseen, as it expresses through the physical body) stores all your past and present stress, traumas, memories good and bad. In Ayurveda, this energy body is known as the “chakras”.
In a Marma session today I uncovered an experience for a woman she had when she was 12 years old that she was unaware of until I asked her about it. There was trauma, fear there- what was it I asked? She recalled being 12 years old experiencing an earthquake- she was frightened beyond fear she said of this event- her whole house shook and a few days later shook again. After she reflected back on the experience she cried- as if she held this fear since she was 12. Now that it has been brought to light it can heal. What lies buried in our energy field becomes symptoms later on. Her physical body may not be in defense mode anymore and her adrenals can finally relax- will see what unfolds.
Marma is a profound healing therapy as it clears away stuck energy- like cleaning a dirty attic or polishing gold only to find clarity and joy as one unravels these mistaken pieces of who we are. As we gather up fragmented parts of our lives we can become whole again- this is the true meaning of health and the true meaning of wellness and vitality!

Good Nutrition Can be Easy!- Use Your Crock Pot
I left home today to do some errands and came back five hours later to a great lunch- Lentil Soup

Here’s the recipe:
1- 3/4 green or brown lentils- rinsed
8 cups vegetable stock/chicken or both
one onion chopped- 5 garlic cloves chopped
2 cups celery chopped
2 cups carrots chopped
1-2 cups tri colored potatoes or butternut squash
1 tsp each of cumin, coriander, cinnamon, smoked paprika ( if you like heat), turmeric
Chopped fresh ginger or powder
1 tsp  pink salt and pepper
Cook on high heat for five hours or low 8-9 hours- tops with fresh spinach, lemon or lime and a little ghee or sliced avocado. Enjoy!.
